I love these kits, but they seem a little pricey. Why is that?

These kits are much more than a box to contain cats. We also have large shelves, ramps, lofts, towers and other platforms, which provides significantly more vertical territory than competition. Also, because of our panel & clamp system, you can increase the size and/or change the configuration anytime, which also makes it easy to assemble and break down in the event you move.

How long would it take to put together your Suite kit? How long to break down?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
For two people it takes about two to three hours the first time. Half that any other time. It typically takes less than an hour to break down.

How quickly can a kit be shipped from order date and how do you ship?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Typically we can ship 4 to 6 days from date of order. Many times even sooner. However, sometimes we receive a large number of orders at once which can push shipment out to 10 / 12 days.

What about a litterbox outside in your enclosure and rain? What do you suggest?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
We recommend a medium or large clam shell (two piece) plastic dog house with the litterbox placed inside it. Incidentally, if you do not have the enclosure connected to the house via our pet door panel for anytime access - a clam shell dog house as a place for your cat(s) to get out of the rain works ideally as well.

What if I don't like the kit. Am I stuck with it?

No! We have a refund program. You can read about it HERE! However, we think you'll discover just how much you AND you cats love this CatsOnDeck enclosure!

I have six full size cats. What size enclosure kit do you recommend for kitty comfort?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
A Deluxe could work by adding two half shelves. The addition of a litter cubicle - much better. For the best of all worlds in comfort, space, etc., we would recommend our Suite or Plush Suite.

Just how easy is it to put this kit together?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
The secret is our proprietary clamp design which makes kit setup quite easy! Take a look at our video about it HERE. and you can see the assembly of a very large kit (the Royal), by Ericka Basile and her family which we provided for a product review by Petconnection HERE. She since purchased from CatsOnDeck.

Does Cats On Deck mean that these enclosures are strictly for a deck or balcony?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Not at all! They're also excellent for containment inside a house or use two enclosures with one inside and one outside with a pet door in between! Others like the idea of keeping their nocturnal kitties contained at night while they sleep.

How do we best provide enclosure both inside and outside connected together? It would be great to have the litter boxes out of the house :) - We also would like to keep them in the enclosure when we have company or at night. However, we have some harsh winters and trying to figure out an answer. Got any for us?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Yes! Two answers: One: You could split the Deluxe with half inside and half outside with a pet door through the wall. You'll need to attach the frames to the wall on both sides and we'll send off instructions on how to do that. It's nothing major. Two: Purchase two medium kits and you will not have to attach either side to the wall as they'll have screened panels . However option two is more expensive.

What are these kits made of and how will they hold up to the weather?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Extremely well. We manufacture the kits right here in the United States. The frames are high density furniture grade PVC, and the wire is made especially for CatsOnDeck. It is galvanized steel 14 gauge wire mesh of one inch squares. The mesh is then coated with black polyester for appearance since galvanized wire is dull and gray. BTW: All our hardware is stainless steel, and the proprietary slip/Clamps are nylon with 30 percent fiberglass fill. All this means that these kits are well made and will last for many years!

How do you clean a CatsOnDeck enclosure?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
It's easy! Outdoors: Simply remove cats & spray the entire enclosure with a hose. The shelves are made the same way as our panels with vinyl coated wire. The carpet is clamped to the frame so they dry very quickly. In fact the indoor/outdoor carpets can also be easily removed and cleaned in a washing machine if they're seriously soiled. DO NOT USE DRYER - AIR DRY CARPET ONLY! Indoors: Use a vacuum hose with the brush attachment on end around the base, floor, and anywhere else on the enclosure that may have accumulated dust or hair.

Can the kit be set up on the yard?
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Yes! However, yards are almost always never level or flat. Cats could possibly dig out under the bottom edge - and the same goes for a critter trying to get in, so we strongly suggest a foundation. We provide free plans to customers that show how to build a simple, quick and inexpensive foundation for those who wish to place our enclosure on the ground surface.
